Charlotte-based EdTech startup Ascend was selected as one of two winners of the LearnLaunch Pitch Competition in Boston, MA on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Eight K-12 EdTech companies competed to present during the LearnLaunch Across Boundaries conference in January 2020. Ascend and InferCabulary were selected as winners by a panel of four education entrepreneurs and investors.
Ascend was selected to participate in the LearnLaunch event after a thorough and competitive application process. “We’ve been excited to become more involved in the LearnLaunch community through every step in this process, and are even more thrilled to be chosen to present at the Across Boundaries annual conference,” said Ascend co-founder and COO Christine Nicodemus.
According to its website, the LearnLaunch Across Boundaries conference “brings together a community to drive innovation to transform learning. Educators, entrepreneurs, education leaders, investors, education companies, and technology innovators from New England and beyond are all part of the community that attends this annual event to learn, share, and discuss the burning questions of the day.”
“Our work at Ascend explores how we can transform learning by helping students find their full potential, so participating in the LearnLaunch annual conference feels like a great fit for our team. We hope this will give us the opportunity to continue to deepen our work with educators and other entrepreneurs in the EdTech space,” said Nicodemus.
