Ascend has been invited to pitch at the regional SoGal Pitch Competition in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, August 28. The pitch competition includes 25 regional rounds spanning five continents, with startups competing for acceptance to the SoGal bootcamp in Silicon Valley. Wednesday’s regional round in Charlotte will feature twelve startups from the Southeast and Midwest.
“We’re thrilled to be selected to pitch for the SoGal regional pitch competition in our hometown of Charlotte. SoGal’s mission to close the diversity gap in entrepreneurship and investor capital is especially important to Ascend because we spend our days seeking to close diversity gaps in student potential,” said Christine Nicodemus, COO.
Ascend was invited to compete in the SoGal pitch competition after a thorough application process. The EdTech startup hopes to benefit from the educational and networking opportunities at the SoGal bootcamp.
“Our ultimate goal is to continue to grow our company so more students can have access to our platform and realize their potential,” says Nicodemus, “and moving to the next round of the SoGal competition would allow us to create meaningful connections with people who are passionate about helping us do that.”
